As a coach:
1960: Coach of the Ohio State University freshman lacrosse team
1974–1975: Founder and coach of the Mountain Lakes (NJ) high school lacrosse program
2006–2007: Coach of the Berlin (Germany) Victoria Men’s Club Lacrosse Team.
Victoria won the championship of Eastern Germany in 2006.
2008: Assistant coach of the US Coast Guard Academy Women’s Lacrosse Team
2009–2011: Head coach, US Coast Guard Academy Women’s Lacrosse Team
2012–2014: Head coach, Williams School Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse
2015–2017: Coach of girls’ youth lacrosse, certified HS lacrosse referee
2018–2024: Head coach, Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse, Old Saybrook (CT) High School
2021: Undefeated in the regular season of the Shoreline League
2022: Shoreline League Champions
2023: Shoreline League Champions
As a player:
1942–1946: Player at St Paul’s School in Mount Washington (Baltimore)
1947: Player on first Middlesex School (Concord, MA) lacrosse team,
appointed captain by the coach as only student with prior player experience
1948–1949: Player and captain (elected) of the Middlesex School lacrosse team
1950: Player on Middlesex School lacrosse team
1951: Player and captain (elected) of the Middlesex School lacrosse team,
ranked number three in New England
1952: Elected co-captain of Cornell University freshman lacrosse team
1953–1955: Player on Cornell University Varsity lacrosse team,
elected captain in 1955,
played on North Team in the 1955 North-South championship,
Honorable mention All-American, 1954 and 1955.
Awarded the Lawrence Van Buren Woodworth Lacrosse Trophy, Given in memory by his friends to the player who most exemplifies competitive spirit and fair play.
Dick Shriver had the most points scored (goals plus assists) for Cornell’s varsity
in 1953, 1954 and 1955.
