High School Varsity Lacrosse is one of the fastest-growing and most rewarding team sports for girls today.  In this book, Dick Shriver, once an accomplished player himself (twice named honorable mention All-American at Cornell University), shares his love for the sport and his passion for coaching.  Having coached men's and boy's; lacrosse, he became a coach of women's (three years as head coach at the US Coast Guard Academy) and girls lacrosse quite by accident.  It took time, but when he was asked to be the head coach of the Old Saybrook (CT) High School Girls' team, he developed an approach and philosophy that supported his teams in one undefeated season and two league championships in three consecutive years.  In this book, he shares what he learned in twenty years as a coach and another twenty years as a player.
